As discussed earlier, we know that Virus can create a number of problems to our PCs. Therefore, it is necessary to keep our PC virus free. But it may be difficult for some people to keep it virus free. So, here we have a few tips to keep our PC Virus Free.
- Install any of the Antivirus given in the previous posts- Norton Antivirus 2007, Mcaffee Antivirus 2007, AVG Antivirus 7.5(updated) or Avast 4.7 Home Edition. Also there are many antivirus like the Symantec which was not mentioned in the earlier posts.
- After installation register online for updates from their websites. Keep updating your antivirus for any new virus database. You can allow auto-update in some antivirus by setting the automatic update option.
- SCAN any external memory device like Pen drive, floppy(not used nowadays), CDs before using files in them.
- Finally, SCAN your PC regularly for viruses regularly. You can scan manually once or twice a week but if you can’t scan manually, you can schedule the virus scan.
If you follow these tips, I’m sure your PC will have 90% chance keeping Virus Free.
